Last will and Testament of
Henry Peckford of Change Islands
Planter deceased

      This is the last will and Testament of Henry Peckford, Planter of Change Islands in the electoral district of Fogo, Notre Dame Bay, Newfoundland I give devise & bequeath to my wife Martha & to my two sons Thomas & Martin to be equally divided amongst them or share & share alike the whole of my property real & personal of which I may be possessed at the time of my decease & at present comprising dwelling house furniture beds, bedding & Fishing room, flakes etc, gardens, traps, & fishing gear, boats etc. At the death of my wife Martha my will is that her portion of my property revert to my son Martin for his sole use and benefit.
I hereby appoint my wife Martha & my son Uriah Peckford as the Executors of this my last will and Testament. In witness whereof I have hereunto subscribed my hand and signature this eighteenth day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand and eight hundred and ninety four. (Sgd) Henry his X mark Peckford witnessed the above signature in our presence, who in the presence of each other have affixed our signatures. (Sgd) Georg S. Chamberlain N. S. P. G. & C. M. P. (Sgd) William F. Coaker, Trader. Change Islands June 18th 1894.

      I certify the foregoing to be a correct copy of the last will and Testament of Henry Peckford deceased
