Will of Mary Roberts from Newfoundland will books volume 14 pages 167-168 probate year 1927

In re
      MARY ROBERTS.       DECEASED.

I, MARY ROBERTS of No. 500 West 177th Street, in the city, County and State of New York, being of sound and disposing mind and memory, and considering the uncertainty of this life, do make, publish and declare this to be my last WILL and TESTAMENT, as follows:

First, after my lawful debts are paid, I give, devise and bequeath, to my son Edwin W. Roberts of St. John's, Newfoundland, all my property and estate, real or personal or mixed, wheresoever situated, which at the time of my death shall belong to me or be subject to my disposal by will.

Second, I thereby nominate, constitute and appoint Edwin W. Roberts of St. John's, Newfoundland, as the executor of this my last will and testament, and I hereby authorize and empower my said executor or his successor to grant bargain, sell, lease or convey and dispose of any lands, leaseholds, grants, tenements or property real or personal, whereof I may be seized at the time of my death or of which he may be seized or possessed as my executor and upon such sale thereof to execute, acknowledge and deliver all necessary or proper deeds or instruments of conveyance in the law for the vesting in the purchaser or purchasers the title thereof in fee, and I hereby authorize my said executor or his successor, from time to time in his discretion, to call for any payment of, and to sell and to transfer all and any of my property and securities in or upon which my estate or any part thereof may be vested.

Third, I hereby revoke all former wills by me at any time heretofore made.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto subscribed my name, and affixed my seal, the Eighth day of January in the year of our Lord, one thousand nine hundred and nineteen

Subscribed by Mary Roberts, the Testator named in the foregoing will, in the presence of each of us, and at the time of making such subscription the above Instrument was declared by the said Testator to be her last Will and Testament, and each of us, at the request of said Testator and in her presence and in the presence of each other, did sign our names as witnesses thereto, at the end of the will.
