Will of Thomas Ryall
from Newfoundland will books volume 7 pages 205-206 probate year 1902

The last Will of
Thomas Ryall late of St. John's, Tailor.

This is the last will and Testament of me Thomas Ryall of Saint John's Newfoundland Tailor. I nominate and appoint William Bolt of Saint John's aforesaid Cooper sole executor of this my will. I give devise and bequeath unto my daughter Elizabeth Gear wife of Joseph Gear all my share estate and interest in that property situate on Water Street West and formerly owned by Elizabeth Prowse and now leased to Mep (?). P. L Topier during her lifetime and after her decease I give devise and bequeath my interest in the said property unto my son William Ryall to hold to him for his own absolute use and benefit. I give devise and bequeath unto my said daughter Elizabeth Gear all that land with dwelling house and shop thereon and all appurtenances thereto belonging situate on Water Street West devised and bequeathed unto my late wife Ann Ryall, by her mother the said Elizabeth Prowse and leased to one Clooney and by him assigned to one McCarthy to hold to her my said daughter Elizabeth Gear for her own absolute use and benefit.
I give devise and bequeath all that piece of land situate on the north side of Duckworth Street with dwelling house and shop thereon and appurtenances thereto belonging and now in the occupancy of Mistress Walter Williams unto my son Samuel Ryall during his lifetime and after my said son Samuel's death I give devise and bequeath the same property on Duckworth Street unto my granddaughter May daughter of the said Samuel and the late Catherine Ryall to hold to her the said May Ryall for her own absolute use and benefit.
In witness whereof I hereto set my hand this ninth day of February Anno Domini one thousand eight hundred and ninety four. Thomas Ryall Signed by the said Thomas Ryall the Testator in the presence of us who in his presence and in the presence of each other hereto subscribe our names as witnesses. Hugh H. Carter Benjamin Snow.

      I certify the foregoing to be a correct copy of the last will of Thomas Ryall
