Will of Robert Simpson from Newfoundland will books volume 14 page 262 probate year 1928

In re            DECEASED.
ROBERT SIMPSON.

THIS IS THE LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT OF ME, Robert Simpson, of the town of Carbonear, in the island of Newfoundland, formerly Manager of the Empire Stores in the said town. After payment of my just debts, funeral and testamentary expenses, I direct that the sum of one hundred pounds sterling, at the current rate of exchange, shall be paid by my executors to my dear sister Annie Simpson, presently of Armadale Place, Greenock, Scotland, provided that she is living at the time of my decease; otherwise this bequest to be null and void.
The residue of my estate, real and personal, together with all property or any kind whatsoever to which I may be entitled, I leave to my beloved wife Elizabeth Simpson for her sole use and maintenance so long as she shall live, and at her death to my dear niece Agnes Sansom of St. Johns' in the said island, if then living, otherwise to her children, then alive, share and share alike. I appoint my beloved wife Elizabeth Simpson and my friend John Alexander Robinson of St. John's, Journalist, Executors of this my will and testament.
Witness my hand at Carbonear this twenty eight day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and twenty two.
