Will of Robert Snook, from Newfoundland will books volume 15 pages 391 & 392 probate year 1931

IN RE.                         DECEASED
Robert Snook.

This is the last will and testament of Robert Snook, of New Perlican, in the Electoral District of Trinity South, all former wills are hereby cancelled and revoked at any time by me made heretofore.
First, all just debts and funeral expenses shall by my Executor hereinafter named be paid out of my estate as soon as convenient after my death.
Secondly. I give, devise and bequeath to my beloved wife Elizabeth Snook, my dwelling house, household furniture and lands around the house with all passageways and appurtenances pertaining thereto; also the meadow above, which is bounded on the West by the land by William's land on the north west, by land of Willus Pittman on the North East, and by land of Walter E. Martin on the South East, also a small square garden bounded by the street on the North East, and on the South by the local road, also all personal property and monies, except what is hereafter mentioned in this will, for her own use during her lifetime; and I do further direct that after her death and my death, all my property mentioned in this paragraph including any money not spent, shall pass to her son, my stepson, John Seward, sometimes known as William John Seward.
Thirdly. I give devise and bequeath to my wife Elizabeth my garden known as "Burnt Woods Garden", to hold the same for herself during her lifetime, and after her decease to be divided between my son Abner Snook and my stepson John Seward; equally divided as regards cleared and uncleared land.
Fourthly. I give and bequeath my waterside property to my son Abner Snook and my stepson John Seward in equal parts, my son Abner to have the half adjoining James Pitts property, and my stepson John Seward the half adjoining the property of Walter Martin, excluding the passageway that I have given in exchange to Fred & William Martin for any right of way that they may have previously had on my said property.
Fifthly. I give and bequeath to my son Abner Snook the garden situated below W. Harrisons Bryants house, bounded by Bryants land on the West, on land of Walter E. Martin on the North, and on the other side by the local road.
Sixthly. I give and bequeath my land situated at Sisters Cove to my son Abner Snook and my stepson John Seward they can occupy it jointly or half and half.
Seventhly. I give and bequeath to my daughter Minnie Legge her Grandfathers Bible.
And lastly, I nominate and appoint my beloved wife Elizabeth Snook and my friend William Bemister of John, Merchant of New Perlican to be the executors of this my last will and testament.
In witness whereof I the said Robert Snook of New Perlican have hereunto set my hand and seal this 19th day of December in the year of Our Lord one thousand nine hundred and thirty, declaring this to be my last will and testament.
