I'm trying to trace information on a Dr Robert Jardine Freebairn who went to Newfoundland from Scotland in the 1890's. He was the doctor at the Bell Island mine and in Ferryland where he was also a magistrate. He married a Sarah Boyle and died in 1934. I'm interested to find out about his daughter Mary who married an Alfred Cahill and his daughter Jessie who married a Brett. I've found a mention of a Hedley Brett but it looks more likely to be Leonard Brett. I'm also trying to get copies of wills. Can anyone tell me how I go about this and how much it is. The information on the website looks to be from a few years ago and I can't get a response from the Court. |
