I have done a little research on the family of Stephen Ryan (1840-1904) of Broad Cove. He was the son of John Ryan and Honora Daly. He married Jane Murphy (c1833-1923) on 13 October 1862 and they had ten children. Most of their children moved to Corner Brook or Somerville, Massachusetts.

Hi, I did some research on Ryans of Colliers about 15 years ago! I am back looking again trying to find some info. Its pretty scarce. I have Patrick Ryan who had son Thomas Ryan and wife Nancy Doyle.
If this is the line you might be looking for I would be glad to share the little bit I have. Cheers,
Vicki

Thank you so much for the attention to my message. I don’t believe that either reply are my line. Family story is that Patrick Ryan had been “ shanghai’d “ By the British navy and when they stopped in NFLD, he jumped ship an they could not find him. He settled in colliers and started a family. Thanks again, Vm56715
