I am British with some DNA connections to Newfoundland. I discovered that there is an area called St Barbe, and in Lymington, Hampshire there is a museum dedicated to St Barbe. Apparently he was a wealthy businessman who owned a salt mine and sent it to NFL. I am thinking that my ancestor could be a Coll from Minstead in Hampshire which is just north of the port of Lymington. Is there anybody with Coll connections that might help me with my thought on this idea. Thanks. Jan Cowan |
