Enlistment in this war was made in the Royal Newfoundland Infantry Regiment
"Blue Puttees" and served under the British Forces as Newfoundland
at that time was Britain's "Oldest Colony" and member of the British
Empire.
Naval enlistment was in the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve.
