RALPH, Marguerite V. (nee Foley) - December 31, 1936 -February 6, 2002. Accompanied by her husband Ambrose, Marguerite is coming home to rest. A Mass in celebration of her life will be held on Wednesday, July 3, 2002 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Alphonsus Church, Whitbourne. Interment to follow at RC Cemetery. Cremation has taken place.

SMITH, Jacob Piercey - Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre on Friday, July 19, 2002, Jacob Piercey Smith, aged 81 years, formerly of New Perlican, Trinity Bay. WWII Veteran, Forestry Unit, member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 36, Mount Pearl and longtime caretaker at Park Avenue Elementary School, Mount Pearl. Predeceased by sister Amelia Rockwood of Hearts Content and parents Jacob and Mahala Smith of New Perlican. Left with fond and loving memories are his wife Annie (Regular); two sons Gordon (Judy), St. John`s, Edmund, St. John`s; two daughters Gloria (Gordon Ryan), St. John`s, Jackie (Terry Rockwood), Fort McMurray; ten grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; special granddaughter Sherry Smith; brother-in-law Arch Regular, Labrador City; as well as other relatives and friends.
